Paro Valley is one of the famous tourist spots in Bhutan, which is famous for its Rinpung Dzong- a fortress monastery. This monastery was built at the beginning of the 10th century with stones instead of clay. Today the Rinpung Dzong monastery houses great collection of sacred masks and costumes dating back several centuries. Paro also offers a great trekking activity for tourists at its most famous Taktsang Monastery or “Tiger’s Nest”, which is precariously perched on the edge of a 1,200m cliff. This is one of the best tourist and impressive attractions in Paro Valley, which offers hiking opportunity to witness a traditional architecture (richly decorated buildings).
